In Chicago, the effort to control syphilis is coordinated by the Syphilis Elimination Task Force.

Purpose:
The Task Force is a collaborative partnership of health and social service community and faith-based organizations; health care providers; city, county, and state public health agencies; concerned private citizens and companies; and educational organizations focused on discovering, monitoring, and reducing the incidence of syphilis in Chicago, with the ultimate goal of eliminating syphilis.
